I get pretty pissy when I watch good people go through hard times and do nothing about it – even when what they need is right in front of them.

In this week’s video, I went on a bit of a rampage about consistency, responsibility and moving forward in this “new normal” that COVID-19 has brought us into.

But I’ve also given you my best tips, advice and proven strategies on how to get through this even if you’ve been sitting in the corner biting your fingernails for the past 2 weeks.

So what I wanted to talk to you guys about is something that has been really just kind of driving me crazy over the last couple of weeks.

This is completely unprecedented times, we have no idea what to expect, everything is changing day to day, hour to hour almost. And I’m hearing a lot of rumblings from my clients, from friends, from just people that I’m seeing online. It’s super discouraging for me as a business owner, to see that these kind of things are happening.

I wanted to do this live stream because I wanted to give you guys a place where you could go to actually get some information and a little bit of inspiration hopefully. It’s probably going to be a lot of kick you in the ass kind of things, a lot of things that people don’t want to listen to and don’t want to hear.

But that’s not really what I’m here for. I mean if you guys get some inspiration from – if you get some motivation even better. But this is not really about me kind of being your cheerleader and rah-rah.

Because this is not the time for that. This is the time where you need somewhere to go to understand what’s going on in business and how to make sure that you end up out on the other side. And if doing that hurt somebody’s feelings along the way, but makes it better for them in the long run, then I’m okay with that.

What have you guys been doing? It’s really what I want to ask everybody is really what have you guys been doing over the last couple of weeks?

Here in Ontario, our kids had a week of March Break that was the start of their “COVID-fest” time off from school. They were supposed to go back at the end of this week, and then we just found out that it’s going to be at least another month.

Everything is kind of up and down for everybody right now and that’s really what we’re here about. One of the biggest problems that I’m seeing is, of course, everybody is just terrified, right? We’ve got essential workers that are still, of course, going out there and doing what they need to do. But what about the people that are not lucky enough, I guess, to be considered essential.

What about the people who have online businesses who are terrified that their business is going to plummet? I’m here to tell you, you know, over the last couple of weeks, that was one of my first worries as well.

I’m not worried about losing business because there are people that are out there that are at home with far more time on their hands and people that are still buying things.

It is not Doomsday. That’s what everybody needs to understand. This is not Doomsday.

I was reading about one guy who kind of freaked out the first five days after all of this kind of went down and everybody was in lockdown. His sales went down to zero for like an entire week, then when he hit day six, day seven, then it started to come back up a little bit.

I think the difference between the people who are going to see that rise back up and the people who are not, are really it comes down to whether or not you are going to stick your head in the sand, or you’re actually going to do something and get some momentum in your business.

I don’t care if you are a non-essential worker, because let me tell you photographers, I’ve got something to tell you guys later, too. That’s just been kind of eating away at me.

And but this is it’s not Doomsday. It doesn’t have to be Doomsday.

So one of my clients, he is working in an industry that’s one of the hardest hits right now restaurants. Little mom and pop shops where they can do takeout or they can do delivery and things like that.

Those kinds of restaurants, they have that built-in stream of income that they can deal with what’s really getting hit hard in this industry are the higher end, experiential kind of places. And he was one of the ones that I was worried was going to drop off.

And his reply was no, we are going to keep moving. He and I have very similar stances on a lot of things in business, which is great, because when it comes to his business, we’re looking at this as an opportunity. It’s created some space for us to do the things that we really wanted to do.

So as you guys are listening to all of this, if nothing else you did for me, you can apply this across the board, but especially today, do not look at the things that I’m pointing at.

So if I give you an example – I hinted at earlier about photographers – don’t just close down and think I’m not a photographer it doesn’t apply to me. Don’t look at what I’m pointing at. Look at the direction that I’m pointing in.

And what I mean by that is, you can take the things that we’re talking about in specifics and apply it in a general way to your business across the board.

When you are looking at other companies and you’re like, I’m going to start doing what you know, Joe Schmo does, because he’s huge in this industry. People do it the wrong way, because they don’t have the strategies that they need for it.

They’re looking at what that guy is pointing at, and they’re trying to duplicate it. They’re not looking in the general direction and being able to apply it to their business.

And so this client, the Monday that everything started shutting down, we were actually supposed to launch a brand new product, and we were going to pull it we were just going to pull the whole thing he was worried about the way it was going to come across on different things.

And we sat down at our meeting and I said, you know, why should we pull it? Why not just change the way that we were going to approach it? Stop being so hard and pushy and having all of these typical launch things that you would normally see like scarcity and timers everywhere.

Just approach it softer. This is an industry that is getting hit really hard, and a lot of places are pulling back on a lot of things that they’re doing. His concern was even at a low price point, this launch was going to be a huge flop or worse, it was going to offend everybody in his audience.
Instead, he’s actually rising above the bar.

And he is showing up as a thought leader in the restaurant industry right now because he is not sticking his head in the sand. He is showing up he is doing the work and he’s moving forward in his business.

So one of the things that’s really easy to do, especially in times like this is to blame what’s going on, right? And I don’t just mean a specific person but we can look at this and say, hey, I had a really shit month or a really shit year and it was all COVID-19’s fault if that hadn’t happened.

You cannot blame things. Okay. Um, things like COVID-19, or really any kind of disaster you know, smaller or big, it’s so easy to say that’s the reason for it.

It’s not the reason why all of these problems are showing up. It’s just bringing to the surface things that were already there that we didn’t want to look at. So if you had one way of earning money, whether you are offline online, brick and mortar, whatever it is, if you only had one way of earning money, you can sit there and put the blame all you want on this pandemic, or on the political leaders or whatever it is you want to do.

Or you can realize that the problem all along was the you only ever had one stream of income. Right? This applies to your family to guys, your kids, your spouse, your friends, whatever. We live in a house of six so all of the little things that we were able to easily overlook before now they’re these huge elephants in the room and it’s just bringing it all to light.

So we really need to make sure that we are not putting blame somewhere. When we blame something else, we almost end up in a victim – well not almost we do, we end up in a victim mentality. And when you are a victim, there is nothing you can do about that.

This is something that for 20 years, I tried to make my ex-husband understand. As long as you don’t take responsibility for the things that are happening around you, you are never going to be able to get past them, you are always going to look at yourself as a victim.

You’re never going to be able to see that you have a way out.

So whatever you have been doing (or not doing because a lot of people are not doing anything for the last two weeks) we have to put an end to it and we have to put it into it right now.

From here on out from the moment this video ends from the moment you stop watching – you have to take responsibility for what is going to be happening beyond here.

We’re going to talk about some of the things and some of the ways that you can get momentum in your business, some of the ways that you can change that way that you look at things and the way that you understand things.

But you need to understand that from this moment forward, we are no longer going to blame a different country, a person, a political leader, somebody else or COVID19, in general, for whatever is going on in our life.

We are going to look at this as an opportunity to fix the things that were always wrong, that just weren’t wrong enough to make a problem.

So in marketing, if you guys know anything about marketing, the way that you get people to buy your stuff is you find a pain point, and you press on it until the person realizes that yeah, this is really a shitty thing and I don’t want to have it anymore and this is the solution that’s going to get me away from that pain. I’m going to buy it.

All COVID-19 is doing is pushing on those pain points. So if you were a photographer, if you were a restaurant owner, if you were a business owner online, it doesn’t matter what it was. If you now have zero things happening in your business, it’s because you were looking very tunnel vision at what you can do in your business.

And it’s time to drop all of the drama and realize that it’s time to get to work. This is not a little sprint to the finish. I think everybody knew two weeks ago that this whole idea of everything shutting down the kids being home for two weeks was ridiculous.

It’s not about what am I going to do to get through the next week or the next couple of weeks until things go back to normal. It’s what am I going to do for the next couple of months and for the rest of this year until things get
back to normal and it’s up to us to realize that it is now on us.

You can choose to stick your head in the sand and be like an ostrich or you can choose to look around you and figure out what you’re going to be doing next. So I alluded to the whole photographer thing.

So I had no idea that this was the thing. But there was an article that ran in our local paper here in Windsor, and it was photographers who were going around to people’s homes. And while maintaining social distancing, were doing front porch project portraits. So they would show up, your family would get up on the porch, and they would take different pictures of it.
cute idea, love the idea.

But there were a lot of photographers in our area that were up in arms about it, they did not think that it was an appropriate thing to do. Now, you know, when you look at legalities, I don’t know I’m not a lawyer, but it kind of really straddles that that gray area, right?

So we can go out in the parks and we can do the things that we need to do as long as we’re maintaining social distancing. So are they really breaking any rules by showing up at somebody’s home, staying six feet apart and taking photos of them?  It’s a gray area.

But there are a lot of photographers who have decided it’s not worth it. It’s too far on the other side of that gray line and they didn’t like it. And there were just comments after comments, after comments of people who were just livid that this was even happening, that they weren’t going to be doing it, they were taking a stand on it.

I responded to them because one of the biggest things that eat away at me is when I know how to fix something, and people don’t either see that same opportunity, or worse – they don’t take the advice that’s given to them for free, and do something with it.

So my suggestion was the same thing that I’m telling you guys to take advantage of this time while you can’t earn any money as a photographer, and do the things you can do because eventually, this is going to be done.

And you can either be right where you are right now, or in many cases, 100 feet back from where you started off from, or you could be making progress towards something new so that you’re ready when it’s ready to go.

So my suggestion is that I’m was, take advantage of this time and start building a list because I know there have been people that I have suggested this to, and they tell me Yep, I’m going to definitely build my list.

I’m going to start blogging, they don’t understand online marketing so I get that, but you know, a year two years, five years later, they’re still no list there. So my suggestion, like I said, was to create a lead magnet.

So some reason for somebody to give you their information and get on your list. And have it around this idea of taking photographs while you guys are at home.

So put together how do you make sure that the lighting is going to be great around you? How do you pose for yourself, for your family, how do you set people up, give them tips so that they can start taking their own photographs during this time where it’s uncertain of what’s going to be happening and include a little bonus section for kids, right, giving kids the opportunity to go out and start taking photographs of their parents and their siblings.

Have that as your lead magnet so that you can drive people there with a post where you’re going to take a stand on these porch party sessions, or whatever they’re calling them, and give them a reason to come onto your list.

And now you know, in 2, 4, 6 months, when all of this kind of starts to calm down, and you can go back to business as usual, you now have a list that you can start building from.

Then I would take it even one step further and do like a lot of the restaurants are doing. So there’s a lot of community posts that are going around and a lot of restaurants that are saying, come and buy a gift certificate.

They’re doing different bonuses with them or maybe discounts on them. There’s no reason that as a photographer or any other business because remember, look in the direction I’m pointing at, don’t look at what exactly I’m pointing at.

But sell those sessions, so that you can have some money coming in right now and you can go and connect with these people when everything is done.

And you can do that in a couple of different ways. You can either sell the session outright or ask them to put down a deposit for it – whatever you’re going to feel most comfortable with and whatever is going to work best for your target audience.

But it gives a sense of community because people can help those small businesses, those small photographers, but it also gets you an influx of money coming in right now when you need it the most.

And it gets people on your list so that you can continue to communicate with them in a way that you can’t on social media. Because I’ve watched these people building Facebook pages and Twitter pages and Instagram pages, you have to remember you don’t own that audience.

If they decide at any point that they’re not going to follow you anymore, or the algorithm changes or you do something to piss Facebook off, you no longer have access to that.

It’s completely different when you can get them on to your email list. So when you guys are looking at what you’re doing, you need to start thinking like that, stop blaming COVID-19 for not being able to take photographs of anybody and not having money to feed your kids.

And instead look at ways that you can do things like that. My suggestion with her because it is a really hot topic and it was – I mean, it’s showing up in our newspapers in our in our towns and our cities, was to take a hard stand on it.

Now she does have a great following on Facebook. And if she took a stand on that, I guarantee there are going to be photographers that are going to be coming in behind her which now in her industry now would make her more of a thought leader, which is, you know, more prestigious in your industry, right, the first one that does something, but it also is going to be a proving point.

Because when people are doing things that they’re not supposed to do, you’ve got this whole group of people who are obeying the rules, and they get really pissed off.

So when somebody stands up and takes a hard stand on it, they’re going to be posting that and re-sharing it all over the place, you’re going to get a lot of organic traffic, you’re going to get a lot of traction from it.

And if you’ve done the prep work, getting that lead magnet up, getting an offer ready to go, then you can monetize all that traffic that you’re going to be getting, just because you took a hard stand.

Now a lot of times and this goes for any industry, not just photographers, but people do not want to take that hard stand.

They are afraid that they’re going to piss people off. In my eyes there is no better way of getting eyeballs on what you were doing than to take a really hard stand on something and make people choose a side.

You make them choose the side. That is scary to business owners because they are still and I find it happens a lot in our like Windsor Essex County area. They are scared that they are going to frighten off half of their business. No.

The more people can get to know you the more that people understand who you are and what you stand for, the easier it’s going to be for them to actually want to stand up for you.

So the people that you piss off, the people that you think you know that you’re worried about are not going to buy from you they never your customers anyway.

You don’t have to worry about those kind of things. So don’t worry about them losing – worry about the now people who have got your back the people who are going to be your promoters and the advocates of you and your business.

One of those people is worth 100 of those kind of sort of maybe freebie, people that you are going to just going to push away. It’s target marketing guys.

And the more that you can niche down, the more that you can gather up that core group of people who are just going to hang on your every word, the better your business is going to be, I promise you.

But when you take that hard stand and you force people to make a choice one way or another, it is honestly the best thing that you can do for your business.

You are no longer the business that is not saying anything during this pandemic. You are no longer the business who’s going to sit idly by. And guess what happens when you get really pissed off about what other people are doing or not doing and you don’t do anything about it. It sits inside of us, and it festers.

And then as you’re sitting there with your kids who are already annoying you and your spouse who’s already pissing you off and your cats and your dogs that are you know you’re ready to kind of turn out loose outside.

It’s going to make everything else around you worse too.

I’m just saying so you guys can choose what you want to do.

But drawing that hard line in the sand and forcing people to be on one side or the other, is really the best thing that you guys can actually do. So, I want you guys to remember that when you are trying things, whatever it is that you come up with, and you can email me or put a comment below whatever you want to do.

If you’ve got ideas and you just kind of want to bounce them around off to somebody, but realize that success is not overnight and success is not linear.

So remember, at the beginning of the video, I talked about the guy who as soon as everything kind of got shut down, his sales dropped down to zero for like five or six days and then started going up slowly but surely after that.

If he would have given up after two or three days of not getting any response and getting frustrated and getting lack of motivation to keep going. He never would have saw that upturn so whatever you guys are going to do.

Don’t get discouraged when things don’t work, it’s so easy to send an email out or to put a post up on Facebook or Twitter or Instagram and not get a response that you were hoping to get from it. But you can’t give up.

Okay, it’s going to take time, especially if this is not something that you’re normally doing, it’s going to take time for your audience to jive in together with you and to kind of get to the point where they understand what you’re offering and what you’re doing and getting to know like and trust you a little bit.

But I promise it’s going to come as long as you are consistent. You have to show up consistently, you have to do those things on an everyday basis.

And if you’ve ever seen those kind of, there’s like a little graphic, right? So it’s like, you know, what people think success and they start here and it goes up over here. And it’s like, this is when, you know, success looks like but really, it’s like all of these little squigglies and you know, way over here and way over here, and eventually you get to it. And that’s reality.

I mean if you talk to business owners how many businesses did they start before they found the one that actually worked?

You can go online and Google how many times were famous actors turned down for different things that they were doing. It happens all the time. That’s something that we have to remember so that we don’t get discouraged.

So my big question for you guys right now, is the one that I asked at the very beginning of the video. And it’s — what are you doing?

Because people are telling me that they’re busy, or they’re telling me that they’re bored, and they’re just kind of, you know, hanging out and watching TV and watching Tiger King and all this other stuff, but, I mean, you can’t
complain about not having a business or not having money.

If you’re hanging out playing video games and watching TV and just kind of doing nothing and taking naps. I mean, mind you, I love naps, too. But you can’t have that complaint, right.

So every year anytime we have any kind of, you know, political reform or any kind of voting or anything like that, you hear about, you know, hey, if you didn’t show up and vote, you don’t get the right to complain. It’s no different here, guys.

If you are not willing to do something, anything for your business, I don’t want to hear a single fucking thing from you. Because nobody is better than anybody else.

Nobody is entitled to success, you are entitled to have the opportunity to work for it, but those who are choosing to stick their head in the sand, those people that are looking for the government free handouts instead of looking for ways that they can build their business or expand what they’re offering.

I don’t want to hear from those people. If that’s your comment, if that’s your concern, I can’t help you so you don’t bother sending me anything.

If you have a legitimate, hey, I want to do something help me figure something out. By all means, let’s talk we’ll get on the calendar. I’ll give up some of my time to talk to you.

But you need to be doing something.

So digital marketer is a huge company, if you guys are not familiar with them digital marketer.com, they opened up their lab and lab plus for free. So normally this they have two different tiers, sells, I think $97 and $297 or $497 a month depending on which level you’re at.

They opened it up completely for free. I think the timing is passed for it to actually sign up, but they’ve got another two weeks in that trial that’s going to be going on. And they sent out an email saying that something like 35 or 40,000 people took advantage of that. Now, they’re not looking at how much money did we lose.

They did this as probably a lot of different reasons, but it stemmed out of a good place and they wanted to give people a way of feeling like they were moving forward in some way.

Some people like myself who already have a solid knowledge of marketing and copywriting. It’s a way of building extra skills, there was a 14-year-old boy who signed up and went through these courses ….at 14 years old.

Because he could see what the value was there, he had no plans of just
sticking his head in the sand for the next couple of weeks, couple of months when doing nothing.

Now, this is not a child who is responsible for bringing money in to take care of his family. But he chose to spend hours going through these courses and this material to learn new things so that he could be in a position to better himself at any point in his life.

How many of you can say that you have done something as simple as what that 14-year-old has done? So if you’re feeling that kind of like uneasiness right now, kind of feeling a little bitchy towards me, and that’s your gut, saying She’s right.

There’s no reason why anybody can’t be doing anything. I have three teenagers at home, we have had a schedule for them – mind you is pretty loose schedule.

But they have agreed on a set schedule throughout the week of when they’re going to have all their chores done. We do culinary skills every day, so for an hour or so I teach them how to make a new recipe, how to bake something.

They’re working on life skills that they’re going to be doing. Two of them are also scouts. So with scouts being down, it’s a great way for them to keep learning those kinds of things.

They have a fun activity that’s planned – they’ve done scavenger hunts, they’ve done build battles and all kinds of different things. They’re not just lounging around.

We do homeschooling kind of stuff. There’s nothing you know, set out from their teachers or anything like that, but something to keep their minds engaged, something that’s going to keep them moving forward.

And even if it’s not something that’s going to specifically help them on a test or quiz or whatever it is that they’re doing in school – they are still learning something.

So I ask again, what are you doing that is going to move you forward?

I still run my business, we are still as busy as ever. And I spent at least in the last week, an extra probably 30 or 35, maybe even 40 hours over the past two weeks, going through copywriting courses, and email marketing mastery courses, and Content Management mastery courses as well, learning all of these little things.

And it wasn’t all new to me. But it was something else that I could add to my knowledge. It was something that allowed me to progress forward. And I was not going to let an opportunity where I could have access to a ton of new knowledge pass me by for what so that I could sit down and relax a little bit more. No thanks.

That’s not what I’m interested in because in two months from now when this starts to settle down and business starts going back to normal. I want to be in a better position than I was.

I’m not going to be the person who says that’s a great idea Dawn, and never do anything with it. I know far too many people that are like that I have no time for them and I have no respect for them, quite honestly, no respect whatsoever.

So what can you guys do if you’re not doing anything right now, like I said, we are when this video is done – we’re wrapping up in the next couple of minutes.

It’s time to take responsibility for your life, for your business for what you are going to do.

So there is a free course on my site. If you go to Dawnmartinello.com
called Build Your Audience. It’s all about email marketing.

And if you are not tech savvy, there is at the end of that, and even better, I’ll tell you about in a second.

Something called The Automation Startup Navigator. It is a plug and plays kind of thing. So there’s no excuses for I don’t know how to set up email marketing or I don’t know what to do or I don’t know what to write or I don’t have a website this takes care of all of that kind of stuff for those people specifically.

Because I don’t want there to be any reason, guys, there is no reason that anybody who is on my page, who knows me personally, or who is on my email list, there is no reason why they cannot be moving the needle forward in their business or in their life in some way.

Because I am practically – in a lot of the stuff I’m just giving it away.

With the startup navigator, it normally sells for $97. This week for everybody that’s on my list, there’s a link for them to access it and pay what you want.

If you can only pay $1. Great. Go and put $1 in there and you’ll have it. If you can’t pay anything send me an email, its case by case but send me an email. Let me know what’s going on in your world what you’re doing. If I think that you’re actually trying to better yourself, I’ll give it to you for free.

There’s no reason why anybody who has any kind of connection to me should not be moving their business forward in some way because whether it’s paid or it’s free.

I’ve opened up my calendar for people, I’ve provided all kinds of things. People are taking advantage of it, which is awesome.

But there’s no reason why the 10s of thousands of people that are connected to me have any reason to be sitting at home watching video games over the next two weeks, or over the next month or a couple of months or whatever.

This is the long haul, guys, this is a marathon and if you guys are just looking to get through the day, you are doing yourself, your business, your family, your kids a huge disservice. Okay?

I could show up every day and not really do anything and lounge around. Let me tell you, I’d love to do that. There are days that I do. But to me, it’s not a very good role model for me for my son or for my nieces to be able to just see nobody doing anything, right.

That’s not what I want to show my kids. I get to spend a lot of time with them. We get to do a lot of fun things, but they’re also seeing me work my ass off. And that is more important to me than watching Tiger King. Or catching up on, you know, Lego masters which is my new kind of thing that I love to watch.

But there’s no reason for it. A lot of the stuff that I do is absolutely free – the content that’s on there the videos guys that are on my YouTube page, for our network marketer friends and direct sellers and things like that – a couple years ago I did a webinar on how to recruit and get people, customers and business people into your business online – doing it the right way.

I never made it public before. That’s now public on my YouTube.

There is so much information guys. There are books you could be reading, there are blog posts that you can be reading, there’s a ton of my site that you guys can be doing.

If you guys don’t have, you know, 10 or 15 minutes a day over the next couple of days to do something that’s going to get you thinking in a new way or get you some new knowledge or get you some new business, I can’t help you.

Just click “unlike” right now, unsubscribe from my newsletter, because those are not the people that I work with. They’re not the people that I want.

They are the people who are always going to be in a victim mentality. And I don’t put up with that shit in my world, and it doesn’t happen.

So yeah, so those are the things you can do. There’s other people that are out there, I am not the one and only that’s out there. Whoever you follow right now are not the one and only people.

If you are a copywriter, then look at content marketing, learn something new about it. Go back and rewrite something, go do something.

But we cannot just stick our heads in the sand. Okay, we can’t do it. So when I talked about what you guys can do to kind of recap some of the things that we do.

Number one is we’re going to start taking responsibility for things.

This whole pandemic, it’s done, right, we can’t go back. We can’t change it. We can’t fix it. We can’t, go back from five years and you know, prepare for it. So forget about it. From this moment on, take responsibility for what is going on in your life, what is going on in your family, what is going on in your business, from here on out, if things go sideways, if things go shit that’s on you.

If it doesn’t work out, keep trying to find something different.

Get on my calendar, talk to me, send me an email – do something, do something.

But you need to start taking responsibility for where your business is going to be in the next couple of days, in the next couple of weeks, the next couple of months, in the next couple of years.

If you don’t start doing something now guys, I tell you – you’re not going to make it I wish there was a better way of saying it. I wish there was something different to say but you’re not going to make it if you don’t do something.

I want you to remember across the board whenever you are looking at anybody.

So whether you’re taking anything from this video, whether you go through any of my free or my paid courses, you’re reading blog posts, if you are following somebody else that’s saying this is what you should be doing right now.

Don’t just turn them away because you don’t think you fit in the box that they’re talking about. Look at the direction that they’re pointing in, not what they’re pointing at.

Okay, so if you guys did that, when I went through the whole thing about photographers, you’re going to have ideas of what you can be doing with your own business.

If you missed that part, go back and rewatch it.

Honestly, it I can’t even tell you how pissed off I am that I have not seen this person do something with that idea. So pissed off because I know in a week in two weeks, these are going to be the same people that are going to be crying on Facebook that they don’t have the money and that they don’t qualify for EI and the Government supports and they’re going to be blaming COVID-19 instead of looking at what they can do.

And number three is take advantage of this time, stop looking at it, you know, we can’t change it, we can’t make it just magically disappear.

I tell my son all the time, you know, you cannot control anything that anybody else does, I cannot control you. But you can control the way that you react to things.

So we cannot control the fact that we are getting more and more locked down.

We cannot control the fact that COVID-19 is in our communities.

We cannot change any of that. But you can change the way you look at it. You can choose to look at this as an opportunity that all of those problems that have been in your home next to your family members so closely, seeing how your business has dropped.

You can look at that as an opportunity and be gracious and thankful that those are coming to the surface and being able to do something with them.

You know if this was 20 years ago before we had the internet and people were losing jobs and couldn’t do anything, that was not a whole lot they could do.

But you and I, we have the entire internet at our disposal. You have unlimited resources if you want to spend the time to look for them or spend the money to work with somebody who can streamline things cut through all the bullshit and just give you what you need to know.

These are unprecedented times with COVID-19. But it is also unprecedented when you think back to how this would have been with our parents had this happened back then.

So don’t look at it as this devastation that is happening. Look at it as an opportunity to grow as a person, as a parent, as a spouse, as a business owner.

Maybe now you’re going to start to take things online if you weren’t online before. It’s going to give you time that you can develop skills that you never had or that were only mediocre before.

And get online guys, you can create Facebook Lives like this. I mean, yeah, you guys saw the problems I had with the software this morning. But it doesn’t have to be fancy. It’s not going to be as fancy as I had hoped it would be. But you can still do it – you can do it with just your phone.

You don’t need any kind of special equipment to do this kind of stuff. And you can connect with these people who are desperate for information, who want to learn things.

So going back to that photographer, if you don’t know what to do and you don’t feel comfortable selling packages that you’re going to deliver on later, what kind of things could you teach to other budding photographers?

If you have a lot of moms in your world, if you look at your email list or your Facebook page, if it’s a lot of families, a lot of moms, they have kids at home.

I know that if my kids were like six or seven or eight years
old, and I could pay somebody like 10 bucks to keep them occupied for a little bit. I jump at that a million times over.

So there are things that a photographer could do. You could offer a kids event, right? So all of these kids kind of show up with mom and dad, and you talk through how to take portraits or how to take selfies or whatever it’s going to be.

For budding photographers you know, they are looking for people like you that they can learn more information from – so why not do an online class where you are teaching them something very specific.

And if you guys want to get into like the whole idea of funnels on how to do that, you know, I can show you how to bring them in for a certain reason and keep them buying for other bigger and bigger portions of that you’d send me an email or post down below if you want some kind of more direction on those things.

But there’s – look at all the things that you do day to day in your regular job in your regular business and think about how you can give that information to other people online.

It doesn’t always have to be video it can be a text, right so there are a lot of places that I’ve looked at before –Matthew Kimberly he had an entire program where gosh, I don’t even remember how much it was. I want to say it was a couple hundred dollars for the year but then he bumped up the price and it was like kind of really expensive after that, but not expensive in terms of the value you got just the the cost difference.

But this was 52 emails that were scheduled to go out to everybody that was in this single malt mastermind, and the whole premise of everything that that program was, was accountability.

So every day, you’re going to get an email from me, that’s going to ask you these questions, and you’re going to reply to them. And if I don’t get a reply, I’m going to you know, I’m going to kick your ass.

And people were paying hundreds of dollars for that. Doesn’t have to be video, it doesn’t have to take a lot of effort to get things up. And in fact, you’re far better to pre-sell your idea anyway.

So, you know, again, if you guys want more specifics about it about any of the things that I’m talking about today, let me know I will come back every day and do more videos and show you guys how to do these kinds of things and give you ideas and suggestions.

We can bounce ideas around whatever you guys need. But you need to take action, you need to do something.

And if your business if your concern for not having a company left for not having an income left or that it’s been down. If that’s not worth spending two minutes putting a comment down below so that I can help you with it, then you shouldn’t be here because nothing I can do or anybody else can do or say is ever going to help you.

It’s a hard, hard truth.

But until we take responsibility and feel the need to want to do something more, you can have the biggest, baddest coach in your corner, you can have every bit of information at your fingertips, you’re never going to do anything with it.

That’s just the way that things are.

Um, so I’m going to wrap this up today guys, I went a little bit longer than what I thought it was going to go but I don’t know if you could tell but I get a little passionate about those kind of things.

So I wish you all well, I hope you were all healthy, happy and doing what you need to do.

Please leave comments down below if there are things that you guys are struggling with if there are things that you want me to come back tomorrow and go more in depth with, if you have a specific example of something because you are still looking at what I’m pointing at instead of the direction, just post I will come back and I will give you everything I have.

All I want to do is see people succeed right now I want to see people doing better and I want to see you come out the other side. Instead of watching businesses drown and go under before we even get started.

So stay healthy, stay happy and glad you guys are here with me today. I’m going to try and do a little bit more of these and come out a little bit more often.

Because then I have to do my hair which by the way, guys I don’t know if you guys can tell. So I had shoulder surgery in December and I couldn’t go and see my hairdresser. So I’ve got a ton of gray.

And you guys probably see far more there, right? So we’ve got a whole little streak in there. But now with everything closed, I can’t go out there and see her, and I can’t get my hair done.

And yet it still showed up today. So don’t let fear stand in the way of showing up in whatever way for your audience and your people.

Because they don’t care about what you look, you can laugh at me. It’s okay. We laugh a lot about my hair, here at home. But more importantly, people care about what you say and they care about your heart.

So, again, stay healthy, stay happy. Let me know how I can help you how I can serve you and I will do my best and if I can’t help you, I will find you someone who can.

So until later guys.
Take care.
